Captain Dwayne Lowery
Saltwater Fishing Guide - Waterfowl Hunting Guide
Trophy Speckled Trout | Redfish | Flounder
Dwayne Lowery was taken on his first fishing trip to Powell Park on Sam Rayburn when he was just five weeks old. This may have marked him to be a fisherman for life. Dwayne fished with his Dad from the time that he could hold a rod for bass and white perch.
At the age of 10 he broke his leg in a three wheeler accident, that same afternoon, he was back in the boat fishing. When he was eleven he met Jerry Franklin and Jerry Foster, both avid saltwater fishermen. They took Dwayne as their fishing buddy and taught him about the Galveston Bay Complex and how to fish with artificial lures for speckled trout and redfish. He talked his Dad into selling the bass boat and buying a bay fishing boat. When he was fifteen, he began guiding fishing trips in Galveston Bay and Sabine Lake. From this point on, there was no doubt what Dwayne was going to do for a career. In 1990 he met Mickey Eastman and began running fishing trips for him and after graduating high school in 1993, he got his captains license and became a saltwater fishing and waterfowl hunting guide.
In 1995 Dwayne started fishing tournaments, winning many of them. During tournament fishing Dwayne met Jim Franklin and Andy Fleischman, and they turned out to be quite a successful team. Dwayne has fished the Gulf Coast from Port Isabel, Texas to Punta Gorda, Florida. Dwayne has shown his passion for fishing and duck hunting at a very young age and to this day still shares that same passion and excitement for the sport.
